On the site of the former Newmarket stables, the development features over 5,000sqm of parks and open space. It provides residents and the wider community with an abundance of open space options, whether they want to relax, play or exercise, with multiple lawn areas, a wonderfully unique playground, seating and barbeque areas. Additionally, it has a variety of modern amenities, with over 2,000sqm of retail and dining space.
The landscape design respects and pays tribute to the heritage aspects of the site. A particular highlight of the precinct is the playground, which has been converted from the original sales ring into an enticing playspace. It features a double-helix slide, climbing ropes and boardwalks, and natural play elements.
This retention of the sales ring, a Moreton Bay fig tree that has watched over the site for 130 years, and recycled pavers and timbers, are testament to Newmarket’s history. A number of signs around the site detail the significance of particular design elements, ensuring e a strong connection between old and new.
We are proud to have played a role in creating this thriving new community.
