This International Women’s Day, we proudly sponsored The Landscape Association’s Women in Landscaping Brunch, with our very own Renae Sarina, Executive Director of People & Culture, speaking on the panel.
While we realise that one day alone won’t create change, we believe International Women’s Day is a great time for honest discussion.
We celebrate the incredible women who work for Landscape Solutions, and those in our industry who have all played a role in the empowerment of females in our industry.
Renae discussed how visibility is only one part of the equation. She emphasised the importance of women having clear career pathways, which then link to better education, compensation and mentorships. Renae also recognised that the next 10 years are going to look very different for women in the landscaping industry.
We also heard from The Landscape Association’s CEO, Jodie Dean, who believes the industry has developed some great initiatives to encourage and level the playing field for all genders. With the attendees being TLA members, non-members and landscaping professionals of all genders, it was great to collaborate with likeminded individuals to celebrate the progress we have made so far.
