Garnett Lehmann Park is a desolate creek surrounded by shabby bushland. Despite constant scrutiny of locals protesting the Garnet Lehmann Park project, it has been transformed into another beautifully landscaped park by our Queensland Construction team. They delivered a technical scope that saw the widening of an existing basin to cope with extreme levels of rainfall.
Garnett Lehmann Park is one of a series of projects for Toowoomba Council after extensive flood studies were carried out in the area. The enviro-sensitive project utilises a mix of water plants, mature trees, shade trees, wildlife-attracting shrubs and hardy, flood-tolerant vegetation to improve biodiversity.
