The Gidget Foundation Australia was founded in 2001, created to raise awareness and provide much-needed support for individuals and their families experiencing perinatal depression and anxiety. They provide programs that support the emotional wellbeing of expectant and new parents, ensuring care is timely, specialised and compassionate.
Our construction team recently assisted in delivering a complete makeover of the gardens at Gidget House North Sydney, which had become tired and overgrown. The location is designed to be a safe haven. A welcoming, accessible and respectful space where free counselling services can be delivered face-to face.
Over a few days, our team worked to remove all the overgrowth, lift slabs, move soil, spread sandstone pebbles, and complete some fruit tree planting and irrigation works.
NBRS Architecture and Blooms the Chemist were both heavily involved in the project, donating funding, expertise and volunteers to create this important outdoor space.
We’d like to thank the following groups who also donated plants and materials:
The new gardens provide a welcoming and tranquil area where families can feel supported and comfortable. This was truly a team effort to create a beautiful space for a wonderful organisation that does so much for the community.
